HOW TO ORDER?

Tipple Tails fruit cakes are hand crafted with great care, juicy and big on flavour and really good to eat – just lovely, uncomplicated food.

Tipple Tails Head Cook & Bottle Washer, Jane Stammers has worked hard to source all the elements of her mouth-watering cakes from as close to her home at Wadsley Hall Farm in Sheffield, South Yorkshire as possible. Using really good ingredients from local producers, these delicious, juicy fruit cakes are packed with fruit and nuts and infused with unusual tipples, made by a master infuser just a few miles from the kitchen – cake which is really worth eating!


Sending a Tipple Tails cake to your family and friends

(or buying one for yourself!) is very simple. Here’s how to go shopping:

Choose your cake

Once you have chosen which cake to purchase just click on the “add to cart” button and then follow the instructions on the screen. Don’t forget to choose the correct shipping details and update your shopping cart before you proceed to the checkout.

Delivery Details

Let us know your details and those of the lucky recipient if your sending a cake as a gift. You can also ask us to send a special message or give us details of where to leave a parcel if you are out in the ‘Order Notes’ box.

Payment

We use PayPal – a secure and simple system which makes buying by credit or debit card very easy. As soon as we’ve posted your cake out, we will send you an email message to confirm. Then all that’s left for you to do is to enjoy the warm feeling you will get when the recipient receives their yummy parcel in the post!

UK  DELIVERY

Postage and Packaging prices for UK delivery including Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man & The Channel Isles

We use Royal Mail to deliver the Tipple Tails cakes and have several first class options to choose from to ensure that you receive your cake as soon as possible:

If you have popped out, the postman will leave a ‘something for you’ card so that delivery can be re-arranged or alternatively you can pick your parcel up from your local post office depot. If you can’t pick up your mail, someone else can do it for you – all they need to do is take proof of your identity and address.

Free Standard Delivery which takes two to three days and applies to a single delivery to a single UK address.

Special Delivery guaranteed by 1pm will guarantee that your parcel will arrive by 1pm on the day after it is posted. The parcel will need to be signed for, which lets us know that it has arrived safely.

Note: Delivery to the Islands of Alderney, Herm and Sark take a little longer and are guaranteed within one or two working days by 5.30 pm

  • 1 Cake = £6.00
  • 2 Cakes = £8.00
  • 3/4 Cakes will be sent by Parcelforce Express AM = £12.00

(these prices apply to a single delivery to a single UK address)

Special Delivery guaranteed by 1pm with Saturday guarantee will guarantee that your parcel will arrive by 1pm on the Saturday after it is posted on the Friday. Again, the parcel will need to be signed for, which lets us know that it has arrived safely.

Note: Delivery to the Islands of Alderney, Herm and Sark take a little longer and are guaranteed within one or two working days by 5.30 pm

  • 1 Cake = £9.00
  • 2 Cakes = £15.00
  • 3/4 Cakes will be sent by Parcelforce Express AM = £21.00

(these prices apply to a single delivery to a single UK address)

Dispatch

If we receive your order before 12pm (UK Standard Time) we will do our very best to pop it in the post the same day. If we get your order after 12pm, it will leave our kitchen the next working day. If for any reason we’re not able to do this we’ll get in touch with you by email to offer you a different product, a later delivery date, or, if you’d prefer: a refund. And just so you know, we don’t send out any items at the weekend or bank holidays and we are closed between Christmas and New Year.

Note: Deliveries to the Channel Islands and Isle of Man may also be subject to delays due to customs checks.

International delivery

Delivery outside mainland UK may be possible by special arrangement but an additional delivery charge will be payable. If you would like delivery outside mainland UK, please get in touch on 0114 232 2154 or email us at info@reallygreatfruitcake.co.uk so that we can chat this through with you and help you place the order.

A note about Import Duty

If you do wish to order goods from us for delivery outside the UK, they may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied when the delivery reaches the specified destination. You will be responsible for payment of any such import duties and taxes. Please note that we have no control over these charges and cannot predict their amount. Please contact your local customs office for further information before getting in touch.

The Goods

Please be aware that all our cakes contain nuts. We cannot therefore accept any responsibility in respect of the presence of nuts or traces of nuts in our goods.

The description and the price of any goods you order will be as shown on our website at the time you place your order. Every effort is made to ensure that all prices and descriptions shown on our website are accurate at the time you place your order, and will only be subject to any unintended spelling errors.
Prices are liable to change at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have been confirmed.

Payment

We take payment when you place your order, rather than at the time of dispatch. This is to help avoid anything that might delay your delivery. We’re not able to accept an order until it has been checked and approved, and if there is a problem we’ll be in touch within three working days. We may run special offers from time to time and these are to be used independently, and cannot be grouped together.

Dispatch

If we receive your order before 1pm (UK Standard Time) we’ll pop it in the post the same day. If we get your order after 1pm, we’ll send it out the next working day. Returns Policy

Returns are only accepted for goods which arrived damaged or are sent in error. If you find your order damaged or you have received the wrong product please contact us immediately. Depending on the condition we will offer to re-send the items or exchange them. As our cakes are perishable goods we do not offer refunds in any other circumstances.

UK Delivery

Our deliveries are handled by Royal Mail. Unfortunately we’re not able to take responsibility for any delays on their part. But if we hear of any problems, we’ll do our best to let you know as soon as we can. Royal Mail categorises a parcel as ‘lost’ if it still hasn’t been delivered after 15 working days. If your parcel has still not arrived after this time, we’ll happily offer you a refund or send your parcel out again, whichever you prefer.

Overseas Delivery

We deliver anywhere in mainland UK. Delivery outside mainland UK may be possible by special arrangement but an additional delivery charge will be payable. If you require delivery outside mainland UK, please get in touch on 0114 232 2154 or email us at info@reallygreatfruitcake.co.uk so that we can chat this through with you and help you place the order.
