Jessica Garrison –
I am not a fruit cake lover normally, because some can be dry. However this cake was truly delicious! I shall definitely be having one.. or two more again! 🙂

Hi Jess – love that you enjoyed your Ginger Tingle Cake. Thanks for taking the time to let me know how much you did!

I was lucky enough to receive a Ginger Tingle tin as a prize and loved it! The crystallised ginger and walnuts are a genius addition. The only complaint would be that the paper sticks to the cake, but to extract the last delicious morsels you can tidy up with a teaspoon. Thank you Tipple Tails and Pink Parcel. I’ll be seeking a refill soon!

So glad that you enjoyed the Ginger Tingle! A very gentle ‘roll’ of the cake between your hands will help the paper case to peel off more cleanly (rather like rolling a Lemon, Orange or Lime to extract the maximum juice ;). It needs to be pretty robust to hold the booze! The Ginger Tingle is lovely with a piece of cheese – a lemony Coverdale is my favourite at the moment – or with custard or ice cream … x
